Description:
XCD Polymer manufactured by Global Drilling Fluid and Chemical Limited is a high molecular weight Xanthum Gum biopolymer. It used to viscosify water based drilling and completion fluids.It is primarily a viscosity modifier for Freshwater and Salt Saturated Muds.


Application:
XCD Polymer manufactured by Global Drilling Fluid and Chemical Limited is used in drilling and completion fluids to enhance their rheology, ensuring efficient whole cleaning.  It provides optimum whole cleaning and suspension qualities.

 

Advantages:

  • It provides excellent suspension properties restricting the settlement of weighting agents and drilled cuttings
  • It is stable over a wide pH range and is effective in saturated brines as well as fresh and sea water base drilling fluids
  • It is resistant to bacterial fermentation.

Usage:

GLO XCD 1000 (XCD Polymer) manufactured by Global Drilling Fluid and Chemical Limited should be added Slowly through the hopper to prevent lumping .the time required for the product to yield to its ultimate viscosity depends on the salinity, temperature and Shear. The amount of the Viscosifier to be used will depend on the desired viscosity but normal dosage ranges from 0.5-2.5 lb/bbl(1.43-7.1 kg/m3 ) the concentration may be increased to 4lb/bbl(11.5 kg/m3) in case of difficult hole cleaning conditions.


Packaging:
XCD Polymer manufactured by Global Drilling Fluid and Chemical Limited is packed in 25kg or 50 Lbs (22.68 Kg) sacks. Private Labeling and customized packaging is also available on request
