DRAG REDUCING POLYMER

GLO DRA POL LQ 1000

Description:

GLO DRA POL LQ 1000 is a drag-reducing ultra high molecular weight copolymer, which is an additive in pipelines to reduce turbulence. It is used in petroleum pipelines to increase the pipeline capacity by reducing turbulency and therefore allowing the oil to flow more efficiently.

Common Name: DRAG REDUCING POLYMER

Application:

GLO DRA POL LQ 1000 helps to reduce the turbulence & de-gradation occurred on the polymers during the flow inside the pipe. Because the oil pushes up against the inside wall of the pipe, the pipe pushes the oil back down causing a swirling of turbulence to occur. When the polymer is added, it interacts with the oil and the wall to help reduce the contact of the oil with the wall.

Advantages:

  • It reduces torque & drag.
  • It will not adversely affect rheology or gel strength.
  • Stable at high circulation temperatures and does not undergo chemical degradation.
  • Increase Pressure Drop
  • Increase Flow rate
