Description:

GLO GILSOTROL LQ 1000 is a liquid substitute for natural occurring Gilsonite. Liquid Gilsonite suspension is specifically formulated to stabilize water-sensitive, micro-fractured shale when drilling with water-base drilling fluids. It works well as a shale stabilizer in water based mud systems. It forms a physical and chemical bond with permeable formations, creating an effective seal to prevent the passage of drilling fluid. It controls fluid loss and seepage, prevents lost circulation and protects reactive and low-reactive shale surfaces, even at elevated bottom hole temperatures.

Applications: 

GLO GILSOTROL LQ 1000 ( Liquid Gilsonite) has a vast usage in oil field application for cementing in oil-based mud. Liquid Gilsonite seals micro-fracture reduces dynamic fluid loss and minimizes the potential for differential sticking. Secondary benefits include improved lubricity and reduced accretion from sticky clays, Reducing pore pressure transmission and sealing micro-fractures in shale and low-porosity sands, developing effective filter cakeand it creates a continuous protective sealant along the wellbore wall.
